Veteran Resources Available in Mohave County: VFW Posts, Veterans Court, Crisis Support and More
MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ — Mohave County is home to a strong veteran community, and knowing where to turn for assistance, fellowship, benefits information, transportation, court support or crisis services can make a significant difference for veterans and their families.
Across the county, organizations including the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), AMVETS, the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council, Veterans Treatment Courts and other veteran groups continue working to connect those who served with resources and community support.
The Mohave Insider is also building a dedicated Mohave County Veterans Resource Directory to make those organizations easier to find in one place. Our current directory includes veteran organizations, transportation assistance, community programs and other resources throughout Mohave County.
VFW Post 2555 — Golden Valley
One of the veteran organizations featured in The Mohave Insider's resource directory is VFW Post 2555 in Golden Valley.
Located at 6068 W. Supai Drive, Golden Valley, AZ 86413, VFW Post 2555 provides a place for qualifying veterans to connect with fellow veterans while also serving as a resource for veteran advocacy, community support and connections to assistance programs. The Post can be reached at (928) 565-3344.
The current Arizona VFW roster lists Post 2555 meetings for the first Saturday of the month at 10:00 a.m. Veterans interested in attending should contact the Post to confirm current schedules before visiting.
VFW Post 2555 has also served as a location where veterans can connect directly with federal VA services. In January 2026, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs held a Veterans Services Event at the Golden Valley Post where veterans could learn about VA programs, discuss eligibility, enroll for benefits and access medical services through a mobile medical clinic.

VFW Posts Throughout Mohave County
Golden Valley is not the only Mohave County community with a VFW presence.
According to the current Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Arizona Post Roster, VFW posts serving communities throughout Mohave County include:

The Arizona VFW directory confirms posts in Mohave Valley, Lake Havasu City, Dolan Springs, Bullhead City and Meadview, while the current statewide roster also lists the Kingman, Golden Valley, Topock and Chloride posts.
For example, VFW Post 3516 in Kingman is located at 2826 Wikieup Avenue, while VFW Post 10386 in Kingman is located at 3036 E. John L. Avenue.
VFW Post 9401 in Lake Havasu City is located at 266 London Bridge Road, and VFW Post 10005 in Bullhead City is located at 1611 E. Marble Canyon Drive.
Veterans interested in joining a VFW Post or learning about services, events and programs should contact their local Post directly because meeting schedules and activities may change.
Kingman Veterans Treatment Court — Judge Jeffrey Singer
Another important resource for veterans in Mohave County is the Kingman Veterans Treatment Court.
The Kingman Municipal Court, under City Magistrate Judge Jeffrey A. Singer, began its Veterans Treatment Court on December 9, 2015.
The specialty court is designed for eligible veterans who become involved with the criminal justice system and may also be facing underlying challenges.
Rather than relying solely on traditional prosecution, the program combines accountability, treatment, supervision and community support.
Participants may be required to complete counseling, drug and alcohol testing, community service and other court requirements before successfully graduating from the program.
Judge Singer has played a central role in the program since its creation.
Recent local reporting in August 2026 stated that 139 veterans had successfully graduated from the Kingman Veterans Treatment Court after completing the program's requirements. Judge Singer also reported a recidivism rate of less than 5 percent among graduates.
For veterans who qualify, the program offers something that can be critical during a difficult period: accountability while also addressing the problems that may have contributed to their involvement with the court system.
Bullhead City Veterans Treatment Court
Bullhead City also operates a Veterans' Treatment Court, which was established in April 2017.
According to Bullhead City, the court provides eligible veterans with an alternative to traditional prosecution while addressing underlying issues that may include:
Addiction and substance-use disorders
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
Serious mental illness
Co-occurring disorders
Housing difficulties
Employment challenges
Education-related challenges
This type of program recognizes that justice and accountability can exist alongside treatment and an effort to address the underlying circumstances facing a veteran.
Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council — Kingman
The Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council, located at 315 E. Oak Street in Kingman, is another major local veteran resource.
According to The Mohave Insider's Veterans Resource Directory, available services include:

Homelessness assistance
Crisis support
Veteran transportation
Peer recovery
Spiritual outreach
Vocational programs
Connections with additional community resources

AMVETS Post 19 — Fort Mohave
AMVETS Post 19 in Fort Mohave also provides support and community opportunities for veterans.
The Post is located at 4310 S. Highway 95, Suite A, Fort Mohave, AZ 86426 and can be reached at (928) 770-5019.
Services and activities include veteran support, community and social activities, advocacy and opportunities for eligible veterans to become involved with AMVETS.
Other Veteran Organizations Serving Mohave County
The Mohave Insider's growing directory also includes organizations representing veterans from different branches and backgrounds.
Current listings include the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 32-7, Fleet Reserve Association Branch 260, organizations supporting Marines in the Tri-State area and additional veteran groups.
These organizations help create something that cannot always be measured simply by the number of services provided: a community of veterans supporting other veterans.
Veterans Crisis Line — Available 24/7
For veterans experiencing a crisis, immediate confidential support is available through the Veterans Crisis Line 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Veterans and their loved ones can also use the Veterans Crisis Line's online chat.
Veterans do not need to be enrolled in VA health care or receiving VA benefits to use the service. The line is also available to family members and friends who are concerned about a veteran.
