BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. — Heavy rainfall is impacting Bullhead City as crews respond to flooding, debris-covered roadways and other storm-related hazards across the community.

The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Warning for west-central Mohave County, including Bullhead City, through 7:15 p.m. PDT Monday. A Flood Watch remains in effect through 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Bullhead City officials said Public Works crews are responding throughout the area as conditions safely allow. Heavy rainfall can quickly wash rocks, sand, mud and other debris onto streets, creating hazardous driving conditions.

Use Extreme Caution on the Roads

Residents are being urged to limit unnecessary travel and remember that conditions can change rapidly during and after heavy rainfall.

City officials are reminding drivers to:

  • Never drive through flooded roadways or running water. Turn around and find another route.

  • Never drive around barricades or enter areas closed because of flooding.

  • Treat intersections with non-functioning or flashing red traffic signals as four-way stops.

  • Slow down, allow extra travel time and leave additional space between vehicles.

  • Stay away from washes, drainage channels, downed power lines and areas with rapidly moving water.

  • Avoid unnecessary travel until conditions improve.

Bullhead City Parks Closed

All Bullhead City parks will remain closed for the remainder of Monday as a safety precaution.

Residents and visitors should stay out of closed parks, washes and other low-lying areas until officials determine conditions are safe.

Residents can report storm-related areas needing attention through the Bullhead City Direct app or the city’s website.

The Mohave Insider will continue monitoring storm conditions and public safety information affecting Mohave County.
