LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. — David Rose’s campaign for the Arizona House in Legislative District 30 brings together several parts of his public life: faith, family, education, grassroots politics and his service on the Lake Havasu Unified School District Governing Board.

Rose, a Republican candidate for the Arizona House, is an ordained pastor and lead pastor of Restoration Hope Church in Lake Havasu City, which he and his wife, Crystal Rose, planted in 2020. He also serves as president of the Lake Havasu Unified School District Governing Board. His candidate biography describes him as a husband, father, pastor, community leader and public servant.

A Family Involved in Faith and Public Service

Faith and family have played prominent roles in Rose’s public life. Rose and his wife, Crystal, planted Restoration Hope Church together in Lake Havasu City in 2020, and his family has remained involved in his community and grassroots efforts.

Rose has emphasized parental involvement in education, religious liberty and policies he says would strengthen Arizona families and rural communities.

For Rose, politics and public service have become a family affair rooted in the issues he has worked on locally. He presents his campaign for the Legislature as another chapter of that community involvement.

Education, Accountability and the Fight Over DEI

Education is one of the most prominent parts of Rose’s record.

As president of the Lake Havasu Unified School District Governing Board, Rose has pointed to changes involving DEI policy and school nutrition as examples of reforms undertaken during his board service. His official candidate statement says the district removed DEI from policy and eliminated certain food dyes and chemicals from school lunches.

As a legislative candidate, Rose says his focus is not simply increasing school funding. His position emphasizes reform and accountability in funding for Arizona school districts, including closer examination of how education dollars are spent and reducing reliance on property taxpayers to carry additional school funding burdens.

His broader education agenda also emphasizes parental involvement, school choice and opposition to DEI policies.

Border Security, Fentanyl and Public Safety

Border security and immigration enforcement are also part of Rose’s campaign platform.

Rose has advocated stronger border enforcement and has connected border policy with concerns about fentanyl, human trafficking and public safety in Arizona communities.

His campaign presents those issues as particularly important to families and communities throughout rural Arizona.

Water and Rural Arizona

Water is another major component of Rose’s campaign.

Rose has emphasized protecting Arizona’s water future and addressing the different challenges facing rural communities. In a geographically large district such as LD30, water concerns can vary significantly between communities dependent on Colorado River supplies and those relying heavily on groundwater.

His broader economic message emphasizes reducing taxes and regulations, supporting small businesses and addressing issues affecting rural Arizona.

Healthier Schools and Families

Rose has also connected education policy with student health.

His official candidate statement cites Lake Havasu Unified School District’s elimination of certain food dyes and chemicals from school lunches as part of his governing-board record.

That issue adds another component to Rose’s education agenda: focusing not only on what children learn in school, but also on the environment in which they learn.

Rose Announces His Positions on Arizona’s 2026 Propositions

As Arizona approaches the November General Election, Rose has publicly announced support for Propositions 141, 142, 144, 316, 317, 318, 319 and 320.

Rose has framed his support for those measures around many of the same themes found throughout his campaign, including taxation, education, election rules, public safety, student athletics and privacy, individual liberty and classroom spending.

Voters considering any of the propositions should review the official ballot language and arguments submitted both for and against each measure before casting their ballots.

Endorsed by Rep. John Gillette

Rose has also received a significant endorsement from within Legislative District 30.

Current Arizona State Representative John Gillette has endorsed Rose as Rose campaigns to succeed him in the Arizona House. Rose’s official 2026 Clean Elections candidate statement lists Gillette among his endorsements. Gillette is not seeking reelection to his House seat.

The endorsement connects Rose’s campaign with a sitting legislator who has represented the same sprawling rural district Rose is seeking to represent.

Turning Point Action and Other Endorsements

Rose has also received the endorsement of Turning Point Action, which currently lists David Rose as its endorsed candidate for Arizona House in Legislative District 30. (Turning Point Action)

His campaign has received additional endorsements from organizations including Center for Arizona Policy PAC and Arizona Freedom Club PAC. (Center for Arizona Policy PAC)

The endorsements accompany a campaign that has emphasized grassroots involvement throughout LD30 and Rose’s existing work through his church, school-board service and community activities.

From Local Leadership to the State Legislature

Rose’s campaign ultimately asks voters to consider how the priorities he has pursued locally would translate to the Arizona Legislature.

His stated priorities include school funding reform and accountability, reducing the burden on property taxpayers, parental involvement in education, school choice, opposition to DEI policies, border enforcement, public safety, water policy, small businesses and issues affecting rural Arizona.

His candidacy also represents a transition from local leadership to state politics. Rose advanced from Arizona’s July 28 Republican primary alongside Mike Gannuscio, according to the state’s official canvass. Rose received 17,903 votes in that primary. (Arizona Secretary of State)

For Rose, the campaign brings together the roles that have defined much of his public biography: pastor, husband, father, school-board leader and community advocate.

As LD30 voters evaluate their choices in November, Rose is presenting those experiences and policy positions as the foundation of the representation he would bring to the Arizona House.
