A review of Arizona legislation shows that Rep. John Gillette’s short-term rental bill and Mohave County’s current classification approach share many of the same core principles, despite different wording. Gov. Katie Hobbs has vetoed 541 bills since taking office, including legislation involving children, parental rights, public safety, property rights, border security, firearms, elections, abortion and student privacy. Among the vetoed measures was SB 1600, which would have required infants born alive, including after an attempted abortion, to receive medically appropriate and reasonable care.
